Har Gavoath Synagogue

Har Gavoath Synagogue

Its location coincides with the east side of Agias Theodoras Street, facing Agias Sophias Street, so it would have been a short distance from Provincia Synagogue, and it may have come about from a split up of that synagogue. The damage it sustained in the 1917 fire was repaired, but it was then demolished so that the city plan could be implemented, and it was moved to the Charilaou district, where it operated until 1943, when it was abolished by the Occupation authorities.
